Privacy Policy

Summary

Algorithmical Trade stores the minimum data needed to operate your portfolio: your sign-in identity (email), the broker credentials you give us so we can place orders on your behalf, and the trade activity those orders produce. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

• Account identifier: the email address from your Google or Apple Sign-In, used only to identify your account.
• Broker credentials: API keys / OAuth refresh tokens you provide when connecting a broker. Stored encrypted in our backend database (AWS DynamoDB) and used only to call your broker's API on your behalf.
• Portfolio & trade data: account balances, positions, and trade history retrieved from your broker. Cached briefly to render screens; not used for any other purpose.
• Diagnostic logs: server-side error logs that may include your account identifier and request paths. Used to debug issues. Retained for 30 days.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your broker password or any credential you didn't explicitly enter into the app.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or other device data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track users across apps.
• We do not sell or rent any of your data.

How we use your data

Solely to provide app functionality: render your portfolios, place orders you initiate, fetch quotes and analytics from market-data providers, and respond to AI Assistant queries about your accounts. AI requests are sent to AWS Bedrock and are not used by Anthropic or AWS for model training (per their Bedrock terms).

Where your data lives

All data is stored in AWS infrastructure (US regions) under our control. Broker credentials are encrypted at rest using AWS DynamoDB encryption. Communication between the app and our backend is HTTPS with TLS 1.2+.

Third-party services

The app talks to these services on your behalf:

• Google Sign-In (authentication only)
• Apple Sign-In (authentication only)
• Your chosen broker (Alpaca, Tradier, tastytrade, Interactive Brokers, or Charles Schwab) for order routing and account data
• AWS Bedrock for the AI Assistant feature

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy that governs the data sent to them.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing sriram.sridhar@algorithmical.ai with the subject "Delete my account." We will remove all records within 7 days and confirm the deletion.

You can also disconnect any broker from the Portfolios tab; this purges the stored credentials immediately.

Children

Algorithmical Trade is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

Material changes to this policy will be reflected here and the "Last updated" date below will change. Significant changes will also be announced via email to users with active accounts.
